Option 1 – $45
CPR/AED and Choking Certification (AHA)
American Heart Association CPR/AED
Class teaches how to assess and treat injuries and medical or environmental emergencies until professional help arrives. Skills focus on keeping the rescuer safe, while providing life-saving assistance to the patient in a variety of scenarios. Students also learn proper CPR techniques, how and when to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and how to relieve choking for adults, children and infants. Use of a barrier device to prevent contamination during rescue breathing is also addressed.
Option 2 – $69
Combo CPR/AED and Blended First Aid Class
The CPR/AED is tough in a traditional hands on manner including everything in Option 1. In addition, Option 2 student will be sent the online American Heart Association Blended First Aid Course (2.5 – 3 Hours) to complete at home prior to the Traditional CPR Class. Students will receive both a two Year American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
First aid is training for the first responder to a life-threatening medical emergency, illness or injury. First aid includes Choking, responding to anaphylactic shock, splinting a broken bone, severe bleeding control, poison and more.
Non-emergency first aid includes fainting and bandaging cuts or abrasions, minor bleeding control, bloody nose, bee stings, EpiPen, Inhalers and more.
Students receive an American Heart Association CPR/AED certification card valid for two years.
