CPR Training School offers the Family & Friends CPR program which contains information on how to perform the basic skills of CPR in adults, children and infants and how to help an adult, child or infant who is choking.
This classroom-based, video and instructor-led CPR course offers families, friends and community members the opportunity to learn basic CPR in a dynamic group environment.
Audience
This program is specifically designed for family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. These people usually prefer to learn in a group environment with feedback from an instructor.
Course Features
The Family & Friends CPR program features a classroom-based course that can be taught by an AHA Instructor or led by a facilitator (such as a community member, family member or friend) who wishes to teach lifesaving CPR skills to others. This course is video-led and includes skills practice throughout.
Course topics can be presented together or taught separately as stand-alone modules: Adult Hands-Only™ CPR
- Adult AED use
- Child CPR
- Infant CPR
- Adult, child and infant relief of choking
Each student receives high-quality course materials for ongoing reference.
This course does not provide a course completion card; however, students receive a tear-out Participation Card in their student manual.
Family & Friends® CPR Anytime®
CPR Training School also offers the Family & Friends® CPR Anytime® Personal Learning Program which allows anyone to learn the core skills of CPR in just 20 minutes using their own personal kit.
The kit contains everything needed to learn basic CPR, AED skills and choking relief anywhere, from the comfort of your home to a large group setting.
Course Features
CPR Anytime is an “all-in-one” a self-directed, personal training kit that teaches the following skills in about 20 minutes:
- Adult Hands-Only CPR
- Child CPR
- Adult and child choking relief
- General AED awareness
This course incorporates research proven Practice-While-Watching method of CPR instruction to improve learning, retention and offer maximum skills practice.
Students can refresh their skills as often as needed and pass on CPR training to family and friends.
The CPR Anytime kit includes the following components:
- 1 bilingual (English/Spanish) Family & Friends CPR Anytime DVD
- 1 poly-bagged Mini Anne® CPR personal manikin
- 1 bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills Reminder Card
- 1 Mini Anne replacement lung to exchange when sharing the kit
- Manikin wipes to clean manikin after use and before sharing with close family member or friend
